A catch-all mailbox receives emails sent to nonexistent email addresses under the very same domain name. For example, an email sent to the misspelled suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. Thus, you can receive messages from friends or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a typo or to an out-of-date one, which they may still have, but you have already disabled. Only one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for such a mailbox. This is due to the fact that at a certain point you may begin receiving spam emails in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation means that the spam will not be delivered to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Website Hosting

Creating a catch-all mailbox will be amazingly easy in case you have a cloud website hosting plan with our company. You can enable this feature through our advanced, albeit easy-to-use Email Manager, which is an integral part of the Hepsia Control Panel, via which you will manage your account. You will see all the mailboxes that you’ve set up shown alphabetically and next to each one of them there will be a tiny "Catch-all" icon, which will instantaneously show you if a certain mailbox receives all the emails for a given domain name or not. With one mouse click on the icon you can activate or deactivate the feature whenever you like. If there is enabled email forwarding or if another mailbox has already been configured as a catch-all one for a specific domain name, you’ll receive an alert from our system. The latter won’t disable/replace anything automatically or without your permission.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The catch-all feature can be activated effortlessly in case you’ve got a semi-dedicated server account with our company. All the email addresses that you’ve created using the domain names hosted in your account will be listed in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel and you will notice a small sign conveniently located directly next to each one. With just one single mouse click, you can enable or disable the catch-all option for any mailbox of your liking provided that there isn't another mailbox under that same domain with the option already enabled and there isn't enabled email forwarding. Instead, you can right-click on an email address and enable the feature using the contextual menu that will show up. If any of the requirements for setting up a catch-all mailbox is not answered, our system will inform you, but will not replace or deactivate anything automatically.
